Colours.....

Both these photographs were taken in Hampi. This water body is the water tank that supplies water to the town of Hampi, Karnataka. The red soil lends its colour to the water making it red. This season causes the lush greenery visible in these pictures. Add to that the natural scenery gifted to Hampi along with amazing birds like Flamingos and you get some really interesting photographic moments. These places make me wish I was a much better photographer.....

And Miles To Go Before I sleep.....

This photograph was taken on the Highway on the way to Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand in India. Other than the cars passing by, the man on the bicycle seemed to be only one on the road. It created an image of a man who seemed to be headed home after a long day of work.

Autumn or not?

Surprisingly, this Kusum tree has red coloured new leaves and yellow coloured old leaves that fall off. The mix of yellow and red with a little of green thrown in was spectacular and showed a whole new side of the forest in Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand in India.

Tranquility...

The pleasure of waking up to this view at 6:00 am was just awesome! This was probably due to the freak weather conditions at this time of the year in Himachal. I guess there is a silver lining to every cloud after all! To view something so amazing after a couple of days of clouds and heavy rains made the trip worthwhile all on its own!
